Reaper, also known as Gabriel Reyes, is a damage hero in the video game Overwatch. He first appeared in the game upon its initial release in May 2016.
Prior to his transformation into Reaper, Reyes was a highly respected and decorated soldier within Overwatch, serving as its original strike commander. He led the organization in its early years.
Through tragic circumstances, Reyes was believed to have perished in an explosion at Overwatch headquarters. However, he was later resurrected and transformed into the shadowy figure known as Reaper. He now possesses enhanced abilities, including teleportation and the power to become invulnerable in shadow form. He wields two powerful shotguns, and his ultimate ability, Death Blossom, allows him to rapidly fire these weapons in a circle, causing massive damage to nearby enemies.
